Holistic Sleep Coach - Mum - Early Childhood Teacher

The heart and soul behind Inspired Sleep. Supporting families has been a passion of mine since 2008, when I graduated from Otago University with a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood. Empowering families to understand child development and behaviour is incredibly satisfying! Play based learning and practices will always be a part of who I am and how I support families.

Becoming a 'Mum' in 2015 was a huge shift in identity and has challenged me in ways I didn't know were possible. It's a role I cherish and love while also navigating the hardships that come with each age. I have discovered that new challenges revitalise my passion for understanding how our little's brains tick, what makes the cog spin so to speak and inevitably leads me deeper into the world of credible research!

In 2021 I began the next chapter of my career – enrolling in the Holistic Sleep Coaching programme through Babyem and under Lyndsey Hookway. To say that I am passionate about sleep almost doesn’t quite cut it! With access to world leading professionals ranging from Lactation Consultants to Occupational Therapists it’s been an evolving process of learning the biological and developmental stages of sleep – and it’s not over. I want to shout from the rooftops that there are responsive and loving sleep solutions from the roof! Put to rest the misinformation that is sleep training. It is not, nor will it ever be, a part of my practice.

~ My approach ~

I use holistic and gentle sleep solutions that allow families to make gradual but long lasting changes to their child’s sleep hygiene – and the parents too. My approach is family centred and moves forward in a way that fits with each family. You won’t find any ‘roll it out’ sleep packages from me. Each sleep plan is uniquely tailored for a specific family. You get to choose what feels right for you. My roll is to supply you with the sleep biology and strategies that align with your parenting philosophy.

~ Vision ~

To support parents to follow their instincts and parenting values.

Disproving the mainstream concept that children need be taught or trained to sleep. Sleep is and always will be a biological process, not behavioural.
